Fire Warden and Awareness

All workplaces are required by law to have a sufficient number of fire marshals on site in order to deal quickly and effectively with fire emergencies.

This Fire Marshal / Warden course advises delegates of the responsibilities of the role. It gives people the ability and confidence to assess situations and perform their duties in an emergency, in line with the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (RRO) 2005.

All attendees will learn about legislation, the role of the Fire Warden, fire safety & prevention, theory of firefighting equipment and means of escape.

A new aspect of this training includes use of a Virtual Reality practical session. During this, learners can safely practice using different types of fire extinguishers in realistic scenarios. This experience allows learners to develop their confidence and competence in fire emergencies in a controlled environment.

First Aid

These courses are suitable for anyone who might need to provide first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill at work and covers common injuries and illnesses.

1-day Emergency First Aid at Work

Where an organisation’s risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies that there is a requirement for Emergency First Aid at Work practitioners, then this national Award in Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid – the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

All attendees will learn about first aider responsibilities, assessing the scene, basic life support (CPR), managing unconsciousness, bleeding, shock, seizures and burns, infection prevention and control.

3-day First Aid at Work

It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.

All attendees will learn the same as in the 1-day course, alongside dealing with more serious injuries such as fractures, choking, strokes, chest injuries and bandaging.

Both of these first aid courses will include a VR practical session to simulate real-life emergency situations, providing learners with the opportunity to practice their skills in varied environments, such as offices, warehouses, and public spaces. These sessions ensure an engaging learning experience, enabling learners to feel better prepared for real-world emergencies.

End of course

Assessment: Delegates must complete a written test & will need to take part in the practical elements.
