Abrasive Wheels

Description

THSP's Safe Use of Abrasive Wheels training course offers practical advice on how to reduce abrasive wheel accidents and is designed to encourage workers to adopt a culture to improve overall safety within the workplace.

Nearly half of all accidents involving abrasive wheels are due to an unsafe system of work or operator error, with the majority of accidents being caused by burst discs. Nearly all abrasive wheel accidents require a visit to A&E. It is a requirement of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations that anyone using an abrasive wheel in the workplace is trained to do so.

This Safe Use of Abrasive Wheels training is essential for anyone who changes and uses abrasive wheels, including supervisors/managers overseeing this operation. It gives delegates the skills and knowledge to safely work with hand held cutting/grinding discs.

This course can be for Handheld, Benchmounted, Petrol or Clipper Saws.
