First Aid at Work Refresher

Description

This course is aimed at employees who already hold a First Aid at Work certificate but is due to expire. Certificates need to be renewed every 3 years.

Refreshment of subjects will be taught on this First Aid at Work Requalification course plus the introduction of new techniques, legislation or guidelines that may have arisen since the delegates were originally trained.

What you will learn

  • Dealing with Heart attacks

  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

  • Eye injuries

  • Fractures and spinal injuries

  • Shock (including Anaphylaxis)

  • Head injuries

Equipment/facilities required:

On-site room size: There should be enough floor space in the room for half your delegates to complete practical tasks such as recovery position simultaneously.

The room must be of an adequate size (approximately 1 square meter per learner) or a minimum of 4 meters x 4 meters for 12 students.

End of course

Assessment: Delegates must complete a written test and a practical assessment.

Certification: Delegates will receive a Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work certificate valid for 3 years.
