We all have mental health, just as we all have physical healthMental ill-health can strike at any time and can affect people from all walks of life.

This 1-day Mental Health First Aid course will help provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace and to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge on a range of the most common mental health conditions and the skills to be able to act should a condition be suspected.

This course is for those looking to improve their knowledge of mental health conditions and to learn the skills to support their own and others’ wellbeing in the workplace. Through a mix of group activities, presentations and discussions, the course is built around a Mental Health First Aid action plan.

Please be aware that this course focuses on employees in the workplace and covers subjects that some people may find distressing, including suicide and self-harm.

Prerequisites

Delegates must be over 16 and will need to have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

End of course

Assessment: Delegates must complete a written test and take part in a scenario-based practical assessment.

Certification: On successful completion of this course each delegate will receive a Mental Health First Aid Champion qualification, valid for 3 years.
